Cozy Green Nook publishes home and garden guides written for readers doing the work themselves. We aim for clarity, accuracy, and honesty about what we do and do not know. Every article is read and edited for consistency before it goes up, and corrected when a reader tells us something is off.

How we research a guide

• We start from a real homeowner question, not a keyword list.
• We ground plant, climate, and hardiness recommendations in USDA hardiness zones and university extension guidance, and we say plainly when results vary by region.
• Prices are shown in U.S. dollars and may vary depending on materials, location, and local prices.
• For projects that touch structure, electrical, gas, or plumbing systems, we tell you where a licensed professional and a local permit are required.

Who oversees the website

Founder and editor Adilson Vieira oversees the website and its editorial direction. He reviews what appears on the site and works to keep each guide clear, useful, and relevant to readers.

Updates and corrections

Articles may be updated when information changes, clearer guidance becomes available, or a correction is needed. Each article shows its last updated date. If you find an error, email contact@cozygreennook.com with the article title and what needs fixing. We verify reported issues, correct the article, and update the modified date. Substantive corrections are noted in the article itself rather than changed silently.

Advertising and independence

Free editorial content is funded by advertising and, in some articles, affiliate links. Advertising is clearly labeled and visually separated from editorial content. Advertisers never receive review of, or influence over, our articles, and no recommendation is sold. Full details are in our Disclaimer.

Editorial review and writing tools

Every article is read and edited by a person before it is published. That review covers whether the advice is actually useful, whether the guidance is specific enough to follow, and whether each factual claim holds up. Where published university extension or federal agency guidance exists on a topic, we check technical claims against it and cite it. Where a number would vary by region, climate, soil, or local labor rates, we say so instead of presenting one figure as universal.

Like most small publishers, we use software tools during research and drafting. Nothing goes live as unreviewed machine output, and we do not describe our editing as independent third-party fact-checking. Responsibility for what is published rests with us; if something is wrong, tell us and we will correct it.

Images

We use properly licensed images and illustrations where appropriate. Images are chosen to represent realistic U.S. residential conditions and are described with alt text for screen-reader users.
